Personalised online A levels & GCSEs
At Greene’s, our A level and GCSE courses are as individual as you are. Our team of experts work with you to identify your academic objectives and design your educational journey, so you can focus on achieving your best. Our online tutorials are taught in the same proven method of learning that we have used in our college in Oxford for over 55 years.
Our online style of learning, based on the principles of the tutorial method, is defined by paired or small group tuition, taught in the Socratic method, with an emphasis on independent study. The skills that you develop will prepare you for the transition from A levels to university life.
Distance learning can take place from anywhere in the world online, or you can study in our campus in Oxford, U.K. You can also use our campuses in Estoril and Lisbon, Portugal as online study spaces.
Your online Personal Tutor
As a full-time online student at Greene’s, you have access to our full range of academic support offerings. Your Personal Tutor is your academic mentor at Greene’s College Oxford. During your weekly meetings, they will help you negotiate the freedoms and responsibilities that come with learning independently.
Greene’s Online: your personal study assistant
As a student (or guardian) at Greene’s you have 24/7 access to Greene’s Online, a student e learning resource, allowing you to see the status and progress of your online sixth form studies anywhere and at any time. This includes:
- Tutorial reports
- Examination entries and results
- Statistics (Attendance, Indicator of Independence level rating)
Online Socials
As an online student at Greene’s, you’ll join our buzzing social network of students. You’ll have the opportunity to join a variety of online clubs, including:
- Podcasting club
- Photography club
- Study club
You can even start your own! You’ll also be invited to weekly Student Social Committees, where you can meet other online or in person students, discuss student matters, or run for a variety of roles, including Class President, Class Vice-President, Social Officer, or Welfare Officer.

Online Sixth Form FAQs
From your initial interview, we seek to work with you to create a bespoke study programme to help you achieve your academic goals.
Online-only students who study full-time at Greene’s have complete access to our full academic support options, just like in person students, Online and in person students interact with our services through our digital learning platform called Greene’s Online.
Greene’s has a vibrant online social life; hop onto Kumospace and join our online Chess club, watch a YouTube video together, or play a game of Skribble to pass the time.
Develop deep friendships and create long-lasting memories.
You can even suggest new activities or clubs to explore a topic of your interest.
Greene’s Online Sixth Form is just as simple, flexible, and convenient as our in person studies.
The main education method at Greene’s are tutorials. These are 45 minutes each, connecting you with one of our expert tutors.
Unlike other services, we only allocate 1-3 students in a tutorial to a single tutor, to help you to receive the attention you need.
And if you’re studying online, all parties, i.e. your tutor and your fellow student, will also all be online – just to make things fairer for you.
Outside of this, compulsory independent preparation work will be set by your tutors for you to enhance your subject understanding and develop your academic independence, which will be assessed within the next tutorial.
Alongside our full suite of academic support options, including university and college applications support, your tutors will write report slips on your tutorials, helping you to keep a track of your learning, and where you can improve.
Your entire learning programme is fully customised based on your academic objectives.
