One-Year GCSEs at Greene's
Focused & Accelerated Curriculum
To ensure success within the condensed timeframe, the curriculum is necessarily focused. Students typically study a reduced number of subjects, between five and seven, with a strong emphasis on core academic areas like Mathematics, English, and the Sciences, which are vital for future progression.

AVAILABLE SUBJECTS

Core Subjects
Our programme is built around a core of Mathematics, English Language (or English as a Second Language for international students), and the Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).

GCSE Retake Courses
For students looking to improve specific grades, our retake courses are designed to fit your exact requirements. With tuition that is individual or in groups of no more than three, we provide the focused support you need to rise to the challenge and achieve your full potential.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE STUDY
In addition to your full-time GCSE programme, Greene’s provides dedicated support for international students to develop the English language skills essential for academic success. Our dedicated EFL and IELTS courses help you achieve the proficiency required for future A-level study and university applications. Students on the intensive one-year programme typically study between five and seven subjects. This allows for a deep focus on the core qualifications needed for A-Level progression.
Entry requirements vary. The programme is suitable for those retaking exams to improve grades (e.g., from a grade 3) as well as those aiming to boost existing passes (e.g., grade 4 or above) to get into competitive A-Level courses. We assess each applicant to ensure they can cope with the demands of the programme.
Your Personal Tutor is your academic mentor at Greene’s College Oxford.
